Public Perspectives

Collaborated with local architects to build an interactive installation for the Seattle Design Festival.

By creating something people had to engage with to understand, we hoped to encourage new perspectives.

Role:  Designer / Fabricator / Project Manager

Team Size:  8

Client:  Design In Public

Timeline September 2019

Summary:  We set out to build an installation that was simple enough to be recycled, but still had a sense of mystery and wonder. This was achieved by a saw-cut internal coupling that allowed the pipes to spin freely before engaging to form a spiral pattern or a flat one, depending on the direction. Combined with the hints of large colorful lettering, the exhibit invited groups of people to play and discover from up close and afar.
